This problem only got worse once the team began work on a new docuseries involving terabytes<\/a>\u2019 worth of even larger files.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was a failure,\u201d he explains. \u201cOur files were too big for WeTransfer. There was very little to no progress made on transfers<\/strong>, even overnight and carrying over 24 hours. MASV worked; the other platforms did not.<\/strong> He says he immediately switched and hasn\u2019t looked back since.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt all worked so smoothly,\u201c explains Heffner, who regularly uses MASV to transfer files. \u201cThe fact that you can also pause an upload on MASV when you\u2019re off the grid and never lose any progress is impressive and extremely helpful.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The new documentary series has required transferring gigantic raw files<\/a> from shooting locations in Maine, North Carolina, New Mexico, and other locations to New York<\/a> and South Dakota. \u201cIt works just as well transferring to multiple people,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n Although he hasn\u2019t used MASV\u2019s more advanced features just yet \u2014 such as Portals<\/a>, Automations<\/a>, and some Cloud Integrations<\/a> \u2014 Heffner says the most noticeable jump in performance was after he began using MASV\u2019s <\/span>Desktop app<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMASV’s performance blew everything else out of the water<\/strong>,\u201d explains Heffner. \u201cAnd I was working in a variety of different settings; some with lower upload speeds, and others with faster upload speeds. Even when there were low upload speeds, it took time to download, but it worked.
